With the exception of the open sourced operating systems and the Java tools all the Software IP is Controlstar Systems Ltd, allowing the company to provide first class and long-term user support. |

Against this we are also committed to an ongoing evolutionary development program that is driven by the client’s future needs; but within this no Controlstar® product has, or will be made obsolete. As an example of the policy we have systems that have been established over a number of years, during which time the system has evolved through three hardware and software steps. The older units have been functionally upgraded with the latest software, and the system remains fully integrated and supported, the client has not incurred a single obsolesce cost. |

The product range is complementary and includes an easy to use license free configuration tool, which is called ‘Fusion’; this supports all of our products. The main Controlstar® unit has powerful PLC control capabilities combined with a flexible telemetry interface; our Micro-Controlstar is applicable for small sites. Both units can be solar powered. The Man Machine interface to the Controlstar® products is our SCADA Software, the SCADA can be networked. An OPC server provides third party SCADA connectivity. Remote control systems, remote asset management solutions are cost effective to develop with the Controlstar® product range, and support does not require specialist personnel. Small systems can be engineered without disproportionate expenditure, but the system is totally scaleable, and includes IBM technology which supports the seamlessly integration of all Controlstar® systems with enterprise IT solutions. |
